What are the basic technical procedures?
An on-site technician will familiarize you with the keypad and the peripherals. The keypad allows you to preset up to four "views" in the room. During the presentation simply press one of four buttons to move the camera instead of trying to manually pan and zoom.

Are there any recommendations for visual presentation?
A user's image looks best from the waist up, with about 10% of the picture area above the head. For shirts and blouses, pastel colors are recommended instead of bright whites. Light-colored clothing will cause the camera to automatically darken the picture, making faces appear in shadow. Intense colors such as reds tend to "bleed" on screen. Avoid all light or dark clothing which might "trick" the camera's automatic brightness control.

How does the audio operate?
The system is usually set up to switch to the location with the most noise and movement. Side conversations and noises can cause the camera to switch unnecessarily. To prevent this, use the MUTE button on the keypad when there is no conversation at your site. The microphone is very sensitive and any noises at one site will be amplified at the other. Use the MUTE button if you need to shuffle papers, sneeze, move the microphone, etc.

What is videoconferencing protocol?
Introduce yourself to others on the call. Maintain eye contact with those on screen as if you were meeting in person. In some instances there may be a half-second transmission delay, so it is best to pause briefly between sentences.
